Councihnember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ENTER INTO BENEFITS <br />CONTRACTS WITH BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD, DELTA DENTAL AND <br />STANDARD INSURANCE FOR 2004 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is committed to attracting and retaining quality <br />employees to serve the community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, competitively priced benefits are essential to effectively compete <br />fbr quality employees; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Administration has reviewed several proposals for health, dental <br />and life insurance benefits for 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends that for 2004 the City offer health, dental and life <br />insurance benefits through Blue Cross Blue Shield, Delta Dental and Standard Life <br />Insurance, respectively. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes staff to enter into a one <br />year contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Delta Dental and Standard Life <br />Insurance for 2004. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br /> <br />and the Ibllowing voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the [bllowing abstained: <br /> <br />and the fbllowing were absent: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 16th day of December, 2003. <br /> <br /> <br />
