Case # <br /> <br /> ADOPT ORDINANCE TO RATIFY 2004 <br />BUILDING CONSTRUCTION, PLANNING, SUBDIVIDING & PLATTING FEES <br />By: Diana Lurid, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On December 9, 2003, the City Council introduced an ordinance to ratify the rates and <br />charges that were established at the November 25, 2003 City Council meeting. Those <br />rates included building construction, planning, subdividing and platting fees. State law <br />requires that these types of rates be established by ordinance. When Council introduced <br />the ordinance at their last meeting, it was specified that the building valuation used to <br />calculate building permit fees would be based on the LMC/AMM building permit fee <br />table. The LMC/AMC table has been referenced in the draft ordinance. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recommends adoption of the ordinance to ratify 2004 rates. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember and seconded by <br />Councilmember to adopt Ordinance #03- to ratify the 2004 building <br />construction and planning fees. <br /> <br />Roll Call Vote: <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Mayor Gamec <br /> <br />CC: 12-16-03 <br /> <br /> <br />
