<br />Councilmember Tossey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #14-03-060 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE TWO PATROL OFFICERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />as per the adopted budget and strategic plan, staff conducted a recruitment <br />for two fulltime Patrol Officers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> an internal recruitment process was conducted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />Mr. Jacob Hinnenkamp and another candidate who name will be provided <br /> <br />at the City Council meeting have been selected as the top candidates for the position; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> staff has completed the necessary background investigation and pre- <br />employment testing and is recommending that Mr. Jacob Hinnenkamp and another candidate <br />who name will be provided at the City Council meeting will be hired as fulltime Patrol Officer at <br />$22-53 per hour, effective on or near March 27-28, 2014. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #14-03-060 to hire Mr. Jacob Hinnenkamp and another <br />candidate whose name will be provided at the City Council meeting as fulltime Patrol <br />Officer at $22.53 per hour, effective on or near March 27-28, 2014. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the `foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Backous, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Tossey <br /> Councilmember Backous <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br />Resolution #14-03-060 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br />
