Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14-03-063 <br />RESOLUTION RATIFYING REMOVAL OF HIGHWAY 10 CONNECTION AND <br />MEDIAN CROSSOVER AT TRAPROCK STREET <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) requests that the <br />City of Ramsey pass a resolution ratifying the phased removals of the westbound median <br />crossover and eastbound connection between Trunk Highway 10 and Riverdale Drive at <br />Traprock Street; and <br />WHEREAS, MnDOT requests that the median crossover between westbound Trunk <br />Highway 10 and Riverdale Drive at Traprock Street be removed at such time that construction of <br />the Trunk Highway 10 and CSAH 83 (Armstrong Boulevard) interchange is complete; and <br />WHEREAS, MnDOT requests that the connection between eastbound Trunk Highway <br />10 and Riverdale Drive at Traprock Street be removed at such time that Riverdale Drive is <br />extended to connect to Ramsey Boulevard; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey was awarded $702,000 in Cooperative Agreement <br />funding for the purpose of constructing the Riverdale Drive Extension/Reconstruction project, <br />including improvements to the westbound median crossover and eastbound connection to Trunk <br />Highway 10; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey may be responsible for a portion of the costs for the <br />phased removals of the westbound median crossover and eastbound connection between Trunk <br />Highway 10 and Riverdale Drive at Traprock Street. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby ratifies that the median crossover between <br />westbound Trunk Highway 10 and Riverdale Drive at Traprock Street be removed at <br />such time that construction of the Trunk Highway 10 and CSAH 83 (Armstrong <br />Boulevard) interchange is complete. <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby ratifies that the connection between eastbound <br />Trunk Highway 10 and Riverdale Drive at Traprock Street be removed at such time <br />that Riverdale Drive is extended to connect to Ramsey Boulevard. <br />
