CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Also Present: <br />Mayor Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Randy Backous <br />Councilmember Jill Johns <br />Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br />Councilmember John LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Chris Riley <br />Councilmember Jason Tossey (arrived at 6:09 p.m.) <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Finance Director Diana Lund <br />Police Captain Jeff Katers <br />Parks and Assistant Public Works Superintendent Mark Riverblood <br />Public Works Superintendent Grant Riemer <br />Human Resources Manager Colleen Lasher <br />Development Services Manager Timothy Gladhill <br />City Engineer Bruce Westby <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Patrick Brama <br />Economic Development Manager Ted LaFrance <br />City Attorney Joe Langel <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Strommen called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:34 p.m. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.01: City Board and Commission Interviews <br />It was noted that the Council conducts annual Board and Commission interviews every March <br />for specific seats that are vacant and for terms that are set to expire on March 31. The Council is <br />considering applicants for one, one-year seat on the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br />Human Resources Manager Lasher introduced Jon Trappen who is interested in serving on the <br />Park and Recreation Commission. <br />The Council introduced themselves prior to the interview. <br />Jon Trappen Interview <br />City Council Work Session / March 11, 2014 <br />Page 1 of 9 <br />
