Information Title Approval of Contractor for Abatement Mowing Services Purpose/Background: The City of Ramsey currently contracts for abatement mowing services. In 2012 the City entered into a contract with Complete Grounds Maintenance, Inc to provide mowing services. The contract for services with Complete Grounds Maintenance, Inc expires April 13, 2014. The City needs to enter into a new agreement for abatement mowing for 2014-2015. The City council approved a Request for Proposal (RFP) process for abatement mowing services on February 25, 2014. The RFP was sent to approximately thirty contractors around the twin cities metro area. The proposal due date was March 26th, 2014. The City received four responses for the two year contract. Attached is a list of the contractors the RFP was sent out to. Also attached is a summary of the proposals received. Notification: The RFP was was published in the Anoka County Union paper for two weeks beginning March 7, 2014. The RFP was placed on the City web site from February 26, 2014 until March 26, 2014. The RFP was e-mailed to to approximately 30 contractors from a list of contractors that the City maintains. Observations/Alternatives: The City received four qualified proposals for abatement mowing service. Proposals ranged from a low of $23.75 an hour to a high of $75 an hour. Funding Source: None required Recommendation: Staff reviewed the four proposals that were received. Staff is recommending Isaacson Lawn Care be awarded the two year abatement mowing contract. Isaacson Lawn Care had the low proposal of $23.75 an hour, without additional surcharges. Action: Motion to approve Isaacson Lawn Care as contractor for abatement mowing services based on staff recommendation. Contractors Proposals Summary Attachments Form Review
