Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14-04-076 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AUTHORIZING AWARD OF CONTRACT <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 14-00; 2014 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted March 25, 2014, <br />accepting plans and specifications and authorizing advertisement for bids for making the 2014 <br />Street Maintenance Program improvements including the crack -sealing, sealcoating and <br />overlaying of streets, the removal and replacement of miscellaneous concrete curb and gutter, <br />and other necessary appurtenant work; and <br />WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on April 18, 2014, and the <br />following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and <br />CONTRACTOR <br />Allied Blacktop Co. <br />ASTECH Corp. <br />Hardrives Inc. <br />North Valley, Inc. <br />Omann Bros. Paving, Inc. <br />Pearson Bros., Inc. <br />Engineer's Estimate <br />TOTAL TOTAL <br />DIVISION A DIVISION B <br />BID BID <br />$249,468.16 No Bid Submitted <br />$275,621.14 $69,910.50 <br />No Bid Submitted $77,587.85 <br />No Bid Submitted $62,692.90 <br />No Bid Submitted $59,046.35 <br />$268,907.26 No Bid Submitted <br />$343,373.00 $81,200.50 <br />WHEREAS, the bids of Allied Blacktop Company of Maple Grove, Minnesota in the <br />amount of $249,468.16 for the total bid for Division A, and of Omann Brothers Paving, Inc. of <br />Albertville, Minnesota in the amount of $59,046.35 for the total bid for Division B, for the <br />construction of said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and <br />advertisement for bids, are the lowest responsible bidders and their bids shall be and hereby are <br />accepted. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with said bidders for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of <br />the City of Ramsey. <br />2) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all <br />bidders the deposits made with their bids at such time that a contract has been executed. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />RESOLUTION #14-04-076 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
