September 15, 2003
Thomas Gamec,
Mayor City of Ramsey
16021 Neon St. NW
Ramsey, MN. 55303
Subject: Zoning change
I am writing you in regards to the proposed zoning change for Rivlyn Ave.
Rivlyn Ave. is a 2 block quiet residential area with a very small amount of vehicle traffic
ideally suited to raise a family. If this area is changed from R residential zone to E
employment or the new mixed use this would produce a lot more car and truck traffic and
this quiet residential area would be gone.
Rivlyn Ave. is a narrow street and would probably have to be widened to accommodate
the additional traffic. It is also quite possible the rezoning would cause some changes in
the utilities in that area. Who is going to pay for this? The home owner's of Rivlyn
Ave., who are not in favor of this rezoning?
The City of Ramsey also needs to inform the residences of Rivlyn Avenues' long range
plans for this area so they can have some input on any proposed changes.
Thank you for your time.
Very Truly
Tim Lehn
6314 Rivlyn Ave NW
Anoka, Mn.
763 - 412 -2599
