June 3, 2003
Mayor & City Council
And Planning Commission
City of Ramsey
15153 Nowthen Blvd NW
Ramsey, MN 55303
Re: Planning Commission May 1, 2003 Public hearing to rezone exsisting
B -3 business district to B -2 business district
As you know at the above hearing it came to the commissions attention that
there were some parcels in the city where the current zoning did not agree
with the land use map in the city's comprehensive plan, including one of the
parcels owned by the Hamiltons and us.
We wish both our parcels PIN 34 32 25 14 0014 and PIN 34 32 25 14 0016
to remain as commerical, as was shown on the the existing zoning map 1
sent out with the May 1, 2003 public hearing notice. Enclosed is a copy of
this map. We would not object to changing the zoning on our property from
B -3 to a B -2 business district. We would however object to changing it to
any other zoning classification.
As you can see our parcel PIN 34 32 25 14 0016 is currently zoned as B -3
business. As stated at the May 1, 2003 public hearing we want this parcel to
remain commerical and asked that this be entered into the record of the
meeting. Commission chairperson Nixt then explained that a minor
amendment would be required to the compehensive plan to change the land
use map designation in the comprehensive plan to commercial, so that it
would be consistent with the current zoning of our property. Thus we are
requesting the city council initiate a comprehensive plan amendment to
change the comprehensive plan land use map designation for our parcel PIN
34 32 25 14 0016 south of US Highway 10 back to commerical and to table
the pending rezoning action until this issue is resolved. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Ati ) ; /
Winslow & Corinne Holasek
cc: Sylvia Frolik, Community Development Director
PAcI
