COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> None. <br /> 6. COMMISSION /STAFF INPUT <br /> Parks & Assistant Public Works Superintendent Riverblood stated the number of patrons at the <br /> skating rink facilities reflect the very cold weather. The final numbers reflected 2,835 people at <br /> the Ramsey Elementary warming house, and 2,624 at Central Park for a total of 5,459 rink <br /> patrons counted. Riverblood added that last year the total was 5,953. He added that sliding hill <br /> use at Alpine Park however, was very popular, perhaps due to the frequent snow. <br /> Parks & Assistant Public Works Superintendent Riverblood informed the Commission that the <br /> Mississippi Skyway design project was approved by City Council on Tuesday evening, and there <br /> will be a lot of activity associated with this, and that the project must be complete by December <br /> of 2014. <br /> Parks & Assistant Public Works Superintendent Riverblood briefed the Commission on the <br /> Elmcrest Park community building project. Chairperson Olsen asked if the cold winter delayed <br /> the start, and Riverblood replied in the affirmative. <br /> On the Central Park to Alpine Drive Trail, Riverblood informed the Commission he thought the <br /> tree clearing would begin next week, and the entire trail should be available for use in May of <br /> 2014. <br /> 7. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Commissioner Mobry, seconded by Commissioner Fyten, to adjourn the meeting. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Olsen, Commissioners Mobry, Fyten, and Chubb. <br /> Voting No: None.
