Lions Pavilion Improvements 2014 $10.000 <br /> Park Improvement Total 2014 $1,232,000 <br /> Chairperson Olsen stated none of these projects are a surprise as they have been discussed <br /> previously. <br /> Commissioner Barr asked when Elmcrest would be going before City Council and Mr. <br /> Riverblood stated November 26, 2013. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Commissioner Barr, to recommend approval of <br /> the 2014 -2018 Parks Capital Improvement Plan to City Council. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Olsen, Commissioners Bennett, Barr, Fyten and Mobry <br /> No: None. Absent: Commissioners Chubb and Minke. <br /> 6. COMMISSION /STAFF INPUT <br /> Parks & Assistant Public Works Superintendent Riverblood provided an update on the following: <br /> Status of Trail Construction, Central Park to Alpine Drive — Bids were awarded by the City <br /> Council. $100,000 grant was captured. Tree removal will begin later this month with work <br /> starting in Spring 2014. The project must be completed by June 2014. <br /> Status of Elmcrest Park's Community Building. <br /> Joint Meeting (pending) with the Environmental Policy Board — proposing standardized process <br /> for recognizing Volunteers — Suggested developing tiers of recognition for volunteers. <br /> Discuss need for December Regular Meeting — There are no items requiring action. Chairperson <br /> suggested no meeting be scheduled unless something comes up that needs Commission attention. <br /> A resignation from the Park Commission has been received and there will be a Commission <br /> opening. <br /> 7. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Commissioner Fyten, to adjourn the meeting. <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Olsen, Commissioners Bennett, Fyten, Barr, and <br /> Mobry No: None.
