Lions Pavilion Improvements 2014 $10.000 Park Improvement Total 2014 $1,232,000 Chairperson Olsen stated none of these projects are a surprise as they have been discussed previously. Commissioner Barr asked when Elmcrest would be going before City Council and Mr. Riverblood stated November 26, 2013. Motion by Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Commissioner Barr, to recommend approval of the 2014 -2018 Parks Capital Improvement Plan to City Council. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Olsen, Commissioners Bennett, Barr, Fyten and Mobry No: None. Absent: Commissioners Chubb and Minke. 6. COMMISSION /STAFF INPUT Parks & Assistant Public Works Superintendent Riverblood provided an update on the following: Status of Trail Construction, Central Park to Alpine Drive — Bids were awarded by the City Council. $100,000 grant was captured. Tree removal will begin later this month with work starting in Spring 2014. The project must be completed by June 2014. Status of Elmcrest Park's Community Building. Joint Meeting (pending) with the Environmental Policy Board — proposing standardized process for recognizing Volunteers — Suggested developing tiers of recognition for volunteers. Discuss need for December Regular Meeting — There are no items requiring action. Chairperson suggested no meeting be scheduled unless something comes up that needs Commission attention. A resignation from the Park Commission has been received and there will be a Commission opening. 7. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Commissioner Fyten, to adjourn the meeting.
