Figure 3-23 shows that the amount of space absorbed has been relatively flat <br />for each property type with the exception of office/warehouse space, which has seen a 60 percent increase <br />in the amount of occupied space. Although absorption of new commercial space appears to be bleak, the <br />chart only covers a seven-year period in which both the industrial and office markets were very sluggish <br />and characterized by high vacancy rates and minimal new construction. <br />Another important point that the chart displays is how much office/warehouse space dominates the market <br />in Anoka County.
