The assumption for single-family owner -occupied housing is an average of 3 units/acre; for
owner -occupied multifamily housing, 12 units/acre average, which would include a mix of townhouses
and larger condominium buildings; for renter -occupied general occupancy, 15 units/acre average, which
would be mainly larger apartment buildings; and for renter -occupied age -restricted housing, 11 units/acre
average, which would include some single -level townhouses and some larger apartment buildings.
The total acreage is further broken down into Low Density (single-family) acres, medium density acres,
and high density acres. Owner -occupied single-family is assumed to be developed all on Low Density
land. Owner -occupied multifamily is assumed to be developed to be half Medium Density and half High
Density land; renter -occupied general occupancy is assumed to be all on High Density land; and renter -
occupied age -restricted housing is assumed to be half MD and half HD land.
Units & Aa -es
Owner -occupied S
Acres
Ower -occupied MF
Acres
Fant - General
Acres
Rant - Age Restricted
Acres
Total W Total MD Total FD
Cai sty 2007-2010 2010-2020 2020-2030 Total Acres Acres Acres
3 u/a 215 1,725 60 2,000
72 575 20 667 667 0 0
12 u/a 145 2,500 150 2,795
12 208 13 233 0 117 117
15 u/a 60 700 45 805
4 47 3 54 0 0 54
11 u/a 60 380 45 485
5 35 4 44 0 22 22
Total Units 480 5305 300 6,085
Total Acres 93 865 40 998 667 139 193
City of Ramsey 2030 Comprehensive Plan Appendix A-27
