H. 10 -YEAR GROWTH
Figure 2 indicates the areas that the City is anticipating growth to occur between the years
2004 and 2014. Currently this area generates a sanitary sewer flow of approximately 600,000
gallons per day. However, over the next 10 -years the City has estimated the addition of
approximately 10,940 units within this area. Based on this estimate it is anticipated that this
growth will generate an additional flow of approximately 2.46 mgd for a total sewer flow of 3.06
mgd by the year 2014. This is approximately half of the flow that will be generated by the
growth area at ultimate development, which has been estimated to be 6.27 mgd.
L SUMMARY
Table 2.1 provides a summary of the projected sanitary sewer flows for the ultimate
service areas north and south of Trott Brook, the Rum River Sewer District, the Mississippi
River Sewer District, and the 10 -year growth area.
Table 2.1
Sanitary Sewer Flow Summary
Description
Total
Units
Total
Population
Residential
Flow (mgd)
Comm. / Ind.
Flow (mgd)
Other/
Special
Flow (mgd)
Daily
Flow (mgd)
South of Trott Brook
24,710
74,130
5.66
1.59
0.07
7.32
North of Trott Brook
8,800
26,400
1.98
0.00
0.00
1.98
Rum River District
15,401
46,203
3.46
0.14
0.04
3.64
Mississippi River District
9,309
27,927
2.20
1.45
0.03
3.68
Growth 2004 to 2014
13,600
40,800
3.06
City of Ramsey
Comprehensive Sanitary Sewer Plan - 2004 Prepared by Bolton & Menk, Inc.
Page 2-6
