May 3, 2004 <br />Laurel Reeves, Hydrologist <br />Minnesota Department of Natural Resources <br />Water <br />500 Lafayette Road <br />St. Paul, MN 55155-4032 <br />RE: Ramsey, Minnesota <br />Water Supply Study <br />M21.34343 <br />Dear Laurel: <br />This letter is intended to summarize the plan the City of Ramsey proposes to follow in developing an <br />aquifer monitoring program for the city well field. <br />A) Drill a Test Well at Well #6 Site (Site A on attached map) <br />Objective: <br />1) Determine aquifer availability. <br />2) Determine potential vibration issues due to proximity to railroad. <br />B) Drill Monitoring Wells at Utility Easement Site in Ramsey Town Center Site (Site B on attached <br />map). (Note: Proposed location is the original site designated for Well #8.) <br />Objective: <br />1) Monitor F -I -G aquifer. <br />2) Monitor drift aquifer water levels. <br />C) Drill Monitoring Wells at Central Park (Site C on attached map) <br />Objective: <br />1) Monitor F -I -G aquifer. <br />2) Monitor drift aquifer water levels. <br />We are currently in the process of drilling the test well at the Well #6 site prior to developing plans and <br />specifications for the municipal well.
