May: Riverdale Park (Inspect shelter and restroom project) <br />June: Central Park (Capital Improvement Program and Central to Alpine Trail) <br />July: Elmcrest Park (Potential building dedication) <br />Commissioner Barr suggested North Commons park for August. <br />Aug: North Commons <br />Sept: The Draw (Park Patron Picnic) <br />After the Commission decides where the meetings will be held, their locations will be published <br />in the Ramsey Resident Newsletter and on the web. <br />6. COIVINIISSION/STAFF INPUT <br />Elmcrest Park's Community Building — This building is very impressive. Staff has received a lot <br />of feedback from the Community and it has been favorable. <br />Central Park to Alpine Drive Trail — Trail should be done by the end of June. This is a very <br />important link to the trail system in the SW portion of the City. <br />Shelter for Riverdale Park — The shelter will be under construction very soon. <br />Mississippi River Trail — This has been discussed over the years. The portion from the Regional <br />Park to the City of Anoka should be finished this summer Staff is researching advance <br />construction of the western portion of the trail. <br />Mississippi River Skyway — The request for proposals was approved by City Council. The <br />second meeting in May Council will select a consultant. The National Parks Service has <br />awarded Ramsey $490,000 for construction. <br />The Draw Summer Event Concert Series — A schedule of the Summer Event Series was provided <br />for Commission review. Sponsors have been secured for the concert series. RJM, Killebrew <br />Root Beer, Ramsey Rotary, Ramsey Economic Development Authority, and Ramsey Park and <br />Recreation Commission. The number of attendees increases each year. <br />Vice Chairperson Bennett thanked the sponsors for their support and looks forward to the concert <br />series. <br />7. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Commissioner Mobry, seconded by Commissioner Barr, to adjourn the meeting. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chairperson Bennett, Commissioners Mobry, Barr, and <br />Trappen. Voting No: None.
