CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: Mayor Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br />Councilmember John LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Chris Riley <br />Members Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />Councilmember Randy Backous <br />Councilmember Jill Johns <br />Councilmember Jason Tossey <br />City Administrator Kurds Ulrich <br />Public Works Superintendent Grant Riemer <br />Development Services Manager Timothy Gladhill <br />City Engineer Bruce Westby <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Patrick Brama <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Strommen called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:47 p.m. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.01: 15153 Nowthen Boulevard: Discuss Study Group Findings Report <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Brama reviewed the purpose of tonight's discussion to <br />present the staff report, Old Municipal Center (OMC) Study Group Findings Report, and <br />recommendation of the EDA in support of pursuing a data center development on the OMC <br />property. <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Brama provided a background of the OMC, noting that this <br />consideration started in early 2012 when the OMC site was identified as being surplus property <br />and the City was approached by Connexus Energy with the concept to use this property for a <br />data center. He described the first and second round of public input and noted the attachments <br />provided for the Council's review included the Findings Report, Feasibility Report, Revised Site <br />Concepts, Meeting Minute summaries, public meeting record, and development comparison <br />chart. He referenced an Appendix that is an interactive web based document. Assistant to the <br />City Administrator Brama stated the OMC Study Group submitted comments and believe the <br />supplemental information is important to present to the Council. <br />City Council Work Session / May 20, 2014 <br />Page 1 of 8 <br />
