if their maintenance staff would help police and take care of maintenance for the restroom and an <br />affirmative response was received. A small amount of funding could also be requested from the <br />PACT Charter School Board of Directors. <br />Chair Olsen stated she is in full support of this restroom and this would be a wonderful addition <br />to the Park. <br />Commissioner Barr stated it is great to see community support. <br />Motion by Commissioner Chubb, seconded by Commissioner Barr, to recommend to the City <br />Council that $50,000 from the Lawful Gambling Fund be allocated for a full service restroom for <br />The Draw. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Olsen, Commissioners Chubb, Barr, Bennett, Fyten, <br />Mobry and Trappen. Voting No: None. Absent: <br />6. COMMISSION /STAFF INPUT <br />Spring Youth Athletic Season — This is a very busy time for the parks. Tournaments are <br />occurring with more tournaments coming throughout the summer. <br />MRT — There was a construction conference held earlier this week. There will be a lot more <br />construction activity happening very soon. <br />Elmcrest Park Community Building — The building is planned to be open for the June 12, 2014 <br />Park and Recreation Commission meeting. <br />The Draw Summer Event Series — A schedule of events was presented for Commission review. <br />The Ramsey Foundation has fully funded the concerts for 2014. Costs of the concerts have <br />increased 50% from last year and attendance has increased 30 %. Commissioner Mobry stated he <br />likes the farmer' s market to run in conjunction with the Summer Event Series. <br />Commissioner Barr asked if the soccer fields are open and Mr. Riverblood stated they are almost <br />ready. <br />Chair Olsen asked if the snow caused any perennial or landscaping losses. Mr. Riverblood stated <br />there may be some losses. <br />Commissioner Mobry commended Mr. Riverblood and his crew for their dedication to the City <br />and their hard work. <br />7.
