Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14 -06 -110 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF SEED RATHER THAN SOD IN <br />CERTAIN AREAS OF THE PROPERTY KNOWN AS 14401 NOWTHEN BLVD <br />NW (STONEY RIVER) <br />WHEREAS, on August 23, 2011, the City Council approved the final plat for <br />Stoney River; and <br />WHEREAS, the required landscaping improvements were to be installed in <br />accordance with the Landscape Plan prepared by Landform Professional Services dated <br />June 7, 2011, which identified sod being installed across all areas not otherwise improved <br />with impervious surfaces; and <br />WHEREAS, City Code allows alternatives to sod with City Council approval; and <br />WHEREAS, on May 29, 2014, a request was made to the City requesting approval <br />to utilize seed in certain areas as an alternative to sod. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes First Phoenix Ramsey LLC to <br />utilize seed rather than sod in those areas as generally depicted on the attached <br />exhibit, which was received electronically on May 29, 2014. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember Tossey and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor <br />thereof: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember LeTourneau <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
