FINDINGS AND CONCLUSIONS
Conformance
with Regional
Systems
The CPA is in conformity with Regional System Policy Plans for Aviation,
Recreation Open Space, Transportation, and Wastewater Services, having no
substantial impact on, or departure from, these systems plans.
Ramsey's Comprehensive Plan (page X-1), Existing & Proposed Park and Trail
Plan, identifies a proposed trail and a future trail connection on this property.
The Council supports the City's future park and trail plans and policies, and
emphasizes the importance of these recreation opportunities within the
Mississippi River Critical Area corridor.
Consistency
with Council
Policy
The CPA is consistent with the Council's 2030 Regional Development
Framework, Council forecasts, housing policies, and water resources
management. Ramsey is a Livable Communities program participant.
The CPA is consistent with the City's Critical Area (CA) Plan. The Council
accepted Ramsey's CA plan on March 28, 2001, recommending that the plan
was consistent with regional objectives and with state Critical Area standards, as
defined by Executive Order 79-19.
Compatibility
with Adjacent
Community
Plans
The CPA is compatible with the plans of adjacent communities.
COMMUNITY PROFILE- City of Ramsey
Regional
Indicators
• The 2030 Regional Development Framework identifies Ramsey as a
"Developing" community, where regional investments focus on
accommodating projected growth through 2030, supporting urban centers
along corridors.
