PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATE OF SERVICE TO SUSAN E. ANDERSON and <br />TERRY HENDRIKSEN <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec presented a Certificate of Service to Susan Anderson. Terry Hendriksen was not <br />present to receive his. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION TO FIRE FIGHTERS ADAM GORDON AND JIM BLOCK <br />COMMEMORATING THE END OF THEIR PROBATIONARY PERIOD <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elivg, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to end the probationary <br />period for Fire Fighters Adam Gordon and Jim Block. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Kurak, Cook, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. · <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec presented Mr. Gordon and Mr. Block with their badges. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec made a pledge to the citizens of Ramsey to hold to the citizen's message that they <br />want a Council that can work out their differences and be proud to say that they are from the City <br />of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Ed Hamilton, 6615 Highway #10 NW, Ramsey, stated that he has heard rumors that the Council <br />may no longer be televising work sessions. He strongly recommended that the Council continue <br />to televise their work sessions. <br /> <br />Winslow Holasek, 1159 Andover Boulevard, Andover, welcomed the new. Councilmembers. He <br />stated that he had received condemnation papers for storm sewer and questioned who gave that <br />direction to do so. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied that that City Council gave that direction. <br /> <br />Mr. Holasek inquired as to when that direction was given. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich replied that the direction was given during a closed meeting with the <br />City Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Holasek inquired as to why it was a closed meeting. <br /> <br />City Council/January 14, 2003 <br /> Page 4 of 27 <br /> <br /> <br />
