Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION 14-07-138 RESOLUTION GRANTING COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A FUTURE BUSINESS PARK WHEREAS, the City's Economic Development Authority (EDA) has identified the following property, described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, located in the City of Ramsey as a potential location for a future business park (Places to Work): (Subject Property) WHEREAS, the Subject Property is guided Places to Shop, Medium Density Residential (MDR) and Low Density Residential (LDR) in the 2030 Comprehensive Plan and is bordered by Mixed Use, Public/Quasi-Public, and Low Density Residential (LDR) future land uses; and WHEREAS, on July 10, 2014, the Planning Commission conducted a Public Hearing on the Comprehensive Plan Amendment; and WHEREAS, on July 22, 2014, the City Council reviewed the Comprehensive Plan Amendment; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that Places to Work is/is not appropriate and compatible with the surrounding properties as well as consistent with the Vision, Values, Goals, and Implementation Strategies of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY , STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby grants a comprehensive plan amendment for the Subject Property to Places to Work and directs Staff to submit an application to the Metropolitan Council for Comprehensive Plan Amendment, subject to adjacent agency review if required. Outlot A shall remain as places to Work.
