CC Work Session 2. 1. <br />Meeting Date: 07/15/2014 <br />Title: <br />City Administrators Mid -year Performance Review - -This Case May be Closed to the Public. <br />Purpose /Background: <br />This case may be closed to the public per Minnesota Statute 13D.05, Subd. 3a which states "A public body may <br />close a meeting to evaluate the performance of an individual who is subject to its authority. The public body shall <br />identify the individual to be evaluated prior to closing a meeting. At its next open meeting, the public body shall <br />summarize its conclusions regarding the evaluation. A meeting must be open at the request of the individual who is <br />the subject of the meeting." <br />At the November 12, 2013, City Council meeting, it was the consensus of the City Council to establish the <br />following goals for the City Administrator, to be reviewed in approximately six months. <br />• Community involvement <br />• Leadership <br />• Support of the Mayor and Council <br />• Fiscal management <br />• Council communications <br />• Staff development <br />The necessary timeframe has passed and the City Administrator will meet with the City Council to review the <br />progress made with regard to the above listed goals and to receive the City Council's feedback. <br />Note: There are three attachments, as follows: 1) Statute 13D.05 Subd. 3a, 2) the case from October 15, 2013, and <br />3) the case from November 12, 2013. <br />Timeframe: <br />Approximately 30 minutes. <br />Funding Source: <br />N/A <br />Responsible Party(ies): <br />Colleen Lasher, Human Resources Manager <br />Outcome: <br />For the City Council to review the City Administrator's progress toward the previously established goals and to <br />direct staff with regard to the next review period and process. <br />Statute <br />101513 Case <br />111213 Case <br />Information <br />Attachments <br />
