This comparison table is fairly close to the current draft and is useful to review on the overarching policy level. The Council should focus on the current draft rules dated June 2, 2014 and the proposed official comment from Ramsey dated August 7, 2014. Funding Source: Participation in the Rulemaking Project is being handled as part of normal Staff duties. Recommendation: Staff recommends that the attached Official Response be adopted by the City and sent to the DNR by the August 15, 2014 deadline. The Environmental Policy Board (EPB) met on August 4, 2014, and recommended that the City adopt the 'Technical Standards' section of the Official Response document. The EPB deferred the six land use policy questions to the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission will be reviewing the proposed Official Response on Thursday, August 7, 2014. Staff will provide a verbal update to the City Council as to the Planning Commission's recommendation. Action: Motion to recommend that the City Council adopt the attached Official Response be adopted by the City and send to the DNR by the August 15, 2014 deadline.
