ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS <br />City of Ramsey Municipal Parking Facility Renovation <br />City Project # 14-28 <br />Ramsey, Minnesota <br />BIDS DUE: September 11, 2014 at 2 PM <br />NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS -- Sealed bids will be RECEIVED until 2:00 p.m. September 11, 2014 by Mr. Kurt <br />Ulrich, City Administrator for the City of Ramsey at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, <br />Ramsey, MN 55303 for the construction of the Ramsey Municipal Parking Facility Renovation which includes the <br />enclosure of a portion of the first level parking area for city vehicle storage within the existing parking structure <br />owned by the City of Ramsey. Proposals will be opened and read publicly by the City of Ramsey or their <br />representative in the Alexander Ramsey Room, immediately after the hour set for receiving bids. A Pre -bid Meeting <br />will be held at the Ramsey Municipal Center in the Alexander Ramsey Room on September 4, 2014 at 2:00 PM. <br />All questions asked or submitted will be answered in a written addendum. <br />The City of Ramsey hereby notifies all bidders: <br />Plans and specifications may be examined and secured on or after August 21, 2014. You may view and order bid <br />documents by going to the Franz Reprographics web site at www.franzrepro.com , and selecting the Franz Public <br />Plan Room. Please select project Ramsey Municipal Parking Facility Renovation from the list of public <br />projects. Once you have selected the project, please review the Bid Details for information on ordering documents. <br />You must order documents to be placed onto the official Plan Holder List. To automatically receive electronic <br />notification of Bid Notices, Bid Addendums, Construction Bulletins, Shipped Order Confirmations, and <br />Electronic Downloads, for this project, you must place the following email address in your list of Outlook Contacts <br />and indicate that it is a Safe Sender: notice(adesianbidbuild.net All notifications are sent from this email <br />address, not from the email address of the Architect or the City. If you do not do this, your email server may block <br />the receipt of these notifications. There is a ?Help button you can select for assistance with using the Online Plan <br />Room. If you still have problems, please contact Franz Reprographics by phone at 763-503-3401. <br />Plans and specifications may also be examined on or after August 21, 2014, 2014 at the office of the City <br />Administrator in the Ramsey Municipal Center. <br />Questions regarding the bidding documents must be submitted in writing by 5 PM on September 4, 2014 to: <br />LSA Design Inc. <br />Attn: William Fossing <br />219 North Second Street, Suite 302 <br />Minneapolis MN 55401 <br />WilliamFossing@LSADesigninc.com <br />Fax 612-339-7433 <br />Bids must be accompanied by a certified check made payable to the City of Ramsey, or a corporate surety bond <br />made in favor of the City of Ramsey in an amount of Five Percent (5.0%) of the Base Bid amount. <br />Upon acceptance of the bid, the bidder hereby agrees that within seven days of receipt of the contract from the City <br />of Ramsey it will execute said contract in the required form (AIA A101 as modified by the City of Ramsey for the <br />specified work. The Contract (modified AIA A101) is a Stipulated Lump Sum Contract. In the event the bidder fails <br />to do so within said time, the bid bond/certified check shall be forfeited to the City of Ramsey as liquidated <br />damages for such failure. The contract shall then be deemed void and of no effect unless the OWNER agrees to <br />provide additional time to comply. If said bidder shall execute the contract and secure the required insurance and <br />bonds, within said time, his check, if furnished, shall become void. It is further understood that this bid may not be <br />withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof, unless otherwise required by <br />
