Environmental Policy Board (EPB)
Meeting Date: 08/04/2014
Submitted For: Chris Anderson, Community Development
By: Tim Gladhill, Community Development
Information
Title:
Discuss Format for Upcoming Joint Work Session with the City Council
Purpose /Background:
At the July 8, 2014 City Council Work Session, the City Council reviewed the EPB's draft 2014 Work Plan. As
part of that discussion, the City Council suggested that a Joint Work Session with the City Council and EPB would
be beneficial to discuss potential additional topics for the EPB to consider for additional review.
The intent of this case is to update the EPB on the City Council direction and recent approval of the 2014 EPB
Work Plan as well as discuss a potential format to maximize the time of the Joint Work Session with the City
Council. Staff has formulated a potential format that will be discussed at the meeting. The intent of this discussion
topic is not necessarily to identify additional topics, but to formulate the format for the Joint Work Session.
As part of this discussion, Staff will be seeking feedback from the Board as to whether the Work Plan should remain
as is, which is focused on two topics (water conservation and recycling), or whether there is a desire to expand the
potential action items. The Board had consciously developed a very concise Work Plan with the intention of having
a greater impact and measurable results due to greater focus on each topic.
Notification:
Notification is not required.
Funding Source:
This case is being handled as part of normal Staff duties.
Action:
No action is being requested at this time. Direction from the EPB will be based on discussion.
2014 -2015 Approved Work Plan
Attachments
Form Review
Inbox Reviewed By Date
Chris Anderson Chris Anderson 08/01/2014 11:16 AM
Form Started By: Tim Gladhill Started On: 08/01/2014 09:14 AM
Final Approval Date: 08/01/2014
5. 3.
