standing structure, site, district, or other property that is: <br />A. listed in the National Register of Historic Places or the State <br />Register of Historic Sites or locally designated as a historic site; <br />B. determined to meet the criteria for eligibility to the National <br />Register of Historic Places or the State Register of Historic Sites <br />after review by the state archeologist or the director of the <br />Minnesota Historical Society; or <br />C. an unplatted cemetery that falls under the provisions of <br />Minnesota Statutes, chapter 307. <br />Subp. 32. Impervious surface. "Impervious surface" means a <br />constructed hard surface that either prevents or retards the entry of <br />water into the soil and causes water to run off the surface in greater <br />quantities and at an increased rate of flow than prior to development. <br />Examples include rooftops, decks, sidewalks, patios, parking lots, <br />storage areas, and driveways, including those with concrete, asphalt, or <br />gravel surfaces.. <br />Subp. 33. Intensive vegetation clearing. "Intensive vegetation clearing" <br />means removal of trees or shrubs in a contiguous patch, strip, row, or <br />block. <br />Subp. 34. Interim use. "Interim use has the meaning given under <br />Minnesota Statutes, chapters 394 and 462. <br />Subp. 35. Land alteration. "Land alteration" means an activity that <br />exposes the soil or changes the topography, drainage, or cross section <br />of the land, excluding gardening or similar minor soil disturbances. <br />Subp. 36. Local government. "Local government" means counties, <br />municipalities, and townships and all agencies, boards, commissions, <br />councils, and departments thereof. <br />Subp. 37. Lot. "Lot" has the meaning given under chapter 6120. <br />Subp. 38. Lot width. "Lot width" means the shortest distance between <br />lot lines measured at both the ordinary high water level and at the <br />required structure setback from the ordinary high water level for <br />riparian lots. For nonriparian lots, the lot width is the shortest distance <br />between side lot lines as measured at the midpoint of the longest axis <br />of the lot. <br />Subp. 39. Marina. "Marina" has the meaning given under chapter 6115. <br />Subp. 40. Metropolitan urban service area. "Metropolitan urban <br />service area means the area in which the Metropolitan Council <br />ensures that regional services and facilities under the council's <br />jurisdiction are provided. <br />Subp. 41. Mooring facility. "Mooring facility" has the meaning given <br />under chapter 6115. <br />Subp. 42. Native plant community.
