Alternative #1 - Recommend that the City Council adopt Ordinance #14-10 as drafted. Staff believes that this is a <br />fair ordinance request and balances existing business' needs, economic development goals, and existing policies, <br />practices, and ordinances. <br />Alternative #2 - Recommend that the City Council adopt Ordinance #14-10 with amendments. The likely <br />amendment would be the provision to allow for parking on a grass surface. Please see Staffs analysis above when <br />considering this amendment. Staff does not object to this alternative, but does recommend some limitations and <br />additional minimal standards based on past experience and feedback. <br />Alternative #3 - Recommend that the City Council NOT adopt Ordinance #14-10. Staff believes that there is an <br />opportunity to create consistent and fair standards within the Highway 10 Corridor. Currently, there are different <br />standards between the two (2) zoning districts as it relates to open and outdoor storage. In order to better administer <br />our minimum standards, Staff believes that the City Council should adopt some form of ordinance <br />Funding Source: <br />Hard costs (public hearing and publication costs) of Ordinance #14-10 have been charged to the Applicant.
