MAY-11-1994 15:25 FROM RLK RSSOC1RTES,.LTD.... TO 4275543 P.01
1
ASSOCIATES LTD.
Date:
To:
From:
Re:
MEMORANDUM
May 11,1994
Ryan Schroeder, Sylvia Frolick, Steve Jankowski, Jim Gromberg
City of Ramsey
Steven Schwartke, John Dietrich, Jeff Smyser 6A
RLK Associates
Land User ransportation Plan Update
922 Mainstreet
Hopkins, Mn.
55343
(612) 933-0972
fax: (612) 933-1153
Here are some draft drawings illustrating RLK's understanding of the changes recommended
by the Planning Commission at the April 21 meeting, The drawings include:
• Figure 2: no bridge scenario
• Figure 5: western bridge alignment with land uses as discussed
• Figure 5A: western bridge alignment with new land use areas added
• Also enclosed is the "old bridge alignment" scenario. We understand that this scenario was
rejected by the Commission and is no longer an alternative. Please confirm our
understanding.
Please review these to ensure that we are all thinking along the same lines. The new land uses
shown on Figure 5A are a first cut. The report being prepared for the next Planning
Commission meeting will address land uses to a greater extent, and further alternative land use
areas could be explored before then.
In addition, we would appreciate help on the location of Sunwood Drive west of Sunfish Lake
Blvd. We have no map indicating its location. The location could be drawn on one of these
figures and faxed back to us. Another map could be faxed if that would be more effective.
We would also appreciate information on the ownership and land uses in the area where Co.
Rd. 116 is shown meeting the bridge connection (the west end of Co. Rd. 116). The impacts
of the roadway on the existing activities was raised as an issue by the Commission.
Please call with any question& We are also available for a conference call Thursday if you
would like to discuss the figures during or after your staff meeting.
• • Civil Engineering *Transportation • Infrastructure Redevelopment
• Landscape Architecture •Construction Management
