Ryan Schroeder Sylvia Frolik Steve Jankowski Jim Gromberg FROM: Steven Schwanke and John Dietrich, RLK Associates Bill Smith, Biko Associates RE: Summary of March 2, 1994 Work Session The following is a brief summary of the March 2, 1994 work session. The purpose for this summary is to focus on the action steps to be taken by the consultant team. The consultant team reviewed several land use and transportation corridor issues with the work group. A summary of issues associated with each area follows: 1. Review of TH 47 and CR 116 transportation and land use issues. The consultant team presented three alternatives evaluating the transportation and land use issues associated with the TH 47 and CR 116 intersection and the extension of McKinley Street to TH 47. Each alternative listed the constraints and characteristics associated with the roadway alignment and recommended land use patterns. 2. Review of the potential Mississippi River Bridge crossing. The consultant team presented two alternative bridge corridors for crossing the Mississippi River. The first corridor was located between Armstrong and Ramsey Boulevards. The second corridor aligned with Puma Boulevard in the City of Ramsey. The working group discussed several land use and alternative bridge corridors associated with each corridor.
