LRT: <br />The Anoka County Comprehensive LRT System Plan was prepared in 1989, to identify LRT <br />alignment alternatives. Analysis in the Plan showed that the most feasible LRT line would <br />run between downtown Minneapolis and the Northtown Shopping Center, and that extension <br />of LRT further to the north would not be feasible until 2010. <br />Alternative extensions from the Shopping Center would either go directly north along TH 65 <br />or northwest, generally along TH 10. The extension along the TH 10 corridor would <br />terminate in Anoka near the TH 10/169 interchange. A further extension of the line along <br />TH 10 into and through Ramsey would not be feasible until after 2010.
