The Ramsey City Council conducted a Canvassing Board on Friday, August 15, 2014, in The <br />COR Conference Room at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Member Absent: <br />CANVASSING BOARD <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />Mayor Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember John LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Chris Riley <br />Councilmember Jason Tossey <br />Councilmember Randy Backous <br />Councilmember Jill Johns <br />Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br />Also Present: City Administrator Kurds Ulrich <br />City Clerk Jo Thieling <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Strommen called the Canvassing Board to order at 8:01 a.m. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />There was none. <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />The Agenda was approved by consensus. <br />BOARD BUSINESS: <br />1) Declare the Results of the August 12, 2014 Primary Election <br />City Clerk Thieling summarized staffs report which was the results of the At Large Council Seat <br />on the Primary Ballot. There were four candidates on the ballot and the following number of <br />votes were received: Kristine Williams 682, Wayne Buchholz 579, Terry Hendriksen 306 and <br />Thomas J. Towberman 114. Ms. Williams and Mr. Buchholz will be on ballot for the General <br />Election. Ramsey experienced nearly a 14 percent voter turnout as compared to some over 11% <br />average County -wide. <br />Motion by Councilmember LeTourneau, seconded by Councilmember Riley, to accept the <br />results of the 2014 Primary Election. <br />Canvassing Board /August 15, 2014 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
