The letting (bid opening) date was July 18, 2014. The tabulation shows that the apparent low bidder is Kuechle Underground, Inc. at $2,649,722.45 which is 11.4% under the engineer's estimate of $2,990,700.00 for the total project. In addition, I have verified that Kuechle Underground, Inc. is listed as a certified contractor under the Minnesota Department of Human Rights Contractor Status Report dated January 7, 2014. I have reviewed the low bid price and the variance is acceptable. The City of Ramsey is hereby authorized to award this project as the Cooperative Construction Agreement 04044 has been fully executed. When a pre -construction conference is arranged for this project please include Elisa Bottos (elisa.bottosnstate.mn.us) at 651-234-7766 and Jim Deeny (iim.deenvc state.mn.us) at 651-234- 7762 on the notification list. I have included the web address of the Project Contact Information Form. The form needs to be filled out and returned one week before construction begins or at the pre -construction conference.
