Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Tossey, Riley, Johns, Kuzma, <br />and LeTourneau. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Backous. <br />5. APPROVE AGENDA <br />Motion by Councilmember Johns, seconded by Councilmember LeTourneau, to approve the <br />agenda as presented. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Johns, LeTourneau, Kuzma, <br />Riley, and Tossey. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Backous. <br />6. PUBLIC HEARING <br />None. <br />7. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />7.01: Consider Tinklenberg Group Proposal for Professional Services Contract Extension <br />Acting City Administrator Brama reviewed the staff report and recommendation to approve a <br />two -month Professional Services Contract extension with The Tinklenberg Group to continue <br />efforts in securing funding for the Armstrong interchange project. <br />Elwyn Tinklenberg, The Tinklenberg Group, explained that two local road projects were listed in <br />the bonding bill and the next effort is to identify funding for the Armstrong Boulevard <br />interchange. He advised of upcoming meetings to move this along and clarify the legislative <br />intent in regard to the dollar amount for this project. Mr. Tinklenberg stated the Legislature <br />heard the City's message about the need to resolve this serious safety issue in Ramsey and <br />congratulated the City on this effort. <br />The Council thanked Mr. Tinklenberg for his dedicated support to further this funding request. <br />Motion by Councilmember Tossey, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to approve a two -month <br />Professional Services Contract extension with The Tinklenberg Group to continue efforts in <br />securing funding for the Armstrong interchange project. <br />City Council / June 24, 2014 <br />Page 5 of 10 <br />
