CITY OF RAMSEY BUILDING INSPECTOR CONTRACT This agreement is made as of , 2014, between the City of Ramsey, Minnesota and Pine Heights Enterprises, LTD. 1. Parties. The City is a Minnesota municipal corporation located at 7550 Sunwood Drive N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. Pine Heights Enterprises, LTD, a sole proprietor, is located at 2. Position. Pine Heights Enterprises, LTD is hereby retained by the City as a Building Inspector. Pine Heights Enterprises, LTD is not an employee of the City of Ramsey. As an independent contractor, Pine Heights Enterprises, LTD is responsible for his own self-employment taxes, income taxes, workers' compensation insurance, health insurance, holidays, vacations, and any and all other benefits and employment obligations. Pine Heights Enterprises, LTD shall provide its own vehicle, auto insurance, tools and all miscellaneous supplies necessary to perform the functions of a Building Inspector. 3. Contract Duration. Unless terminated pursuant to terms set forth below, this contract shall be in effect from July 11, 2014 to December 31, 2014 and may be extended only by a written amendment to this contract executed by both parties. The City does not guarantee a minimum number of hours. 4. Services. Pine Heights Enterprises, LTD shall perform all functions typically performed by a building inspector in accordance with City ordinances and all applicable state and federal regulations. Pine Heights Enterprises, LTD's services shall be provided during normal work hours on an as -needed basis, as determined in the City's sole discretion. 5. Remuneration. The City shall pay Pine Heights Enterprises, LTD at the rate of $24.28 per hour for time expended in the role of a City Building Inspector. Travel time between the City and Pine Heights Enterprises, LTD's home, office and other non -City location is not compensable and shall not be included in the hours invoiced to the City. The hourly pay shall constitute the sole consideration for performing the functions of a building inspector; no other costs shall be invoiced to the City. Pine Heights Enterprises, LTD shall invoice the City on a monthly basis. Each invoice shall be accompanied by a time sheet showing the date, project numbers and hours worked for each project.
