Members Present: <br />Members Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />1. <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Sarah Strommen <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at the Ramsey <br />Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Randy Backous <br />Councilmember Jill Johns <br />Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br />Councilmember John LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Chris Riley <br />Councilmember Jason Tossey <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Finance Director Diana Lund <br />Parks and Assistant Public Works Superintendent Mark Riverblood <br />Public Works Superintendent Grant Riemer <br />Human Resources Manager Colleen Lasher <br />City Clerk Jo Ann Thieling <br />Community Development Director Timothy Gladhill <br />City Planner Chris Anderson <br />Assistant to the City Administrator Patrick Brama <br />City Attorney Joe Langel <br />Mayor Pro Tem Backous called the regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at 7:03 <br />p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Pro Tem Backous. <br />2. PRESENTATION <br />2a. Youth First Community of Promise Update <br />Michelle Anderson, Youth First Chair, provided an update on the restructuring its organizational <br />design to better serve stakeholders. She answered questions of the Council relating to the <br />number of youth served, new initiative so they can provide better statistics, and five promises <br />that form a basis of their programming. <br />City Council / July 8, 2014 <br />Page 2 of 7 <br />
