<br />Councilmember LeTourneau introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #14-07-137 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH PINE HEIGHTS ENTERPRISES, <br />LTD., FOR BUILDING PERMIT PLAN REVIEW AND INSPECTION SERVICES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City employs a full-time Building Official and Building Inspection <br />Technician and contracts with Inspectron, Inc. for assistance in administering the Minnesota State <br />Building Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />based on building permit levels, plan review needs, and inspection needs, in <br />conjunction with available Staffing levels, the City is in need of temporary assistance to administer <br />the Minnesota State Building Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , the has sought quotes for contracted building inspection and plan review <br />needs and attempted to recruit for a temporary Building Inspector; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , Pine Heights Enterprises, LTD, has offered to provide these services on an <br />as needed basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />appropriate revenues and expenses have been budgeted for these activities in <br />2014; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , the City will only utilize these services on an as-needed basis provided that <br />appropriate revenue from Building Permits is sustained and only if the City is not able to meet the <br />Strategic Plan Metrics of 24-48 hour Inspection Window and 5-10 Business Day Plan Review for <br />Standard Permits; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , these expenses were budgeted with the 2014 General Fund Budget and are <br />paid for through rates and charges collected with Building Permit Applications. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY , STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1)That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves a contract with Pine Heights Enterprises, <br />LTD, for building inspection and plan review services. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Backous <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> <br />
