<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #14-06-112 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SALE OF PERMANENT EASEMENT OVER <br />DEDICATED PARK PROPERTY IN ALPINE ACRES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> Anoka County is proposing improvements to the intersection of CSAH 5 <br />(Nowthen Blvd) & Alpine Drive to improve traffic operations and increase safety; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> stormwater ponding improvements are proposed on the City-owned parcel <br />dedicated as Park land with the Alpine Acres plat; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> Anoka County obtained an appraisal on the city-owned property in the <br />amount of $13,000 for the purpose of securing permanent easement over the entire property for <br />stormwater ponding; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> Anoka County is offering to pay the City of Ramsey an amount of $13,000 <br />to obtain a permanent easement over the entire property. <br /> <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1)That the City of Ramsey hereby accepts the offer of $13,000 from Anoka County to <br />purchase permanent easement for stormwater ponding over the entire city-owned property, <br />PID #233225240064. <br /> <br /> <br />2)That all funds obtained through this transaction shall be deposited into the City’s Park Trust <br />Fund for use on future trail improvements in the general area of this property. <br /> <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Tossey, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />
