Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Nosan, Bauer, and VanScoy. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Brauer and Maul. <br />5.09: Receive Update on Minnesota Department of Natural Resources' Mississippi River <br />Corridor Critical Area (MRCCA) Rulemaking Project and Consider Official <br />Response <br />Presentation <br />Community Development Director Gladhill presented the staff report stating the purpose of this <br />case was to consider an official response related to the Mississippi River Corridor Critical Area <br />Rulemaking Project. Staff reviewed their comments noting these are intended to aide in the final <br />form of the draft rules. The number of comments included was not intended to measure the level <br />of support or lack thereof. When considering the land use policy and if the draft rules fit within <br />Ramsey's land use vision, there were several areas staff desired policy feedback from the <br />Commission. Staff then requested the Commission consider these matters and provide direction <br />to staff on how to proceed. <br />Commission Business <br />Chairperson Levine believed this process took a great deal of time and effort. He thanked staff <br />for addressing this issue. <br />Motion by Chairperson Levine, seconded by Commissioner VanScoy, to recommend that the <br />City Council adopt the Technical Standards and Draft Response and send it to the DNR by <br />August 15, 2014. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners VanScoy, Bauer, and Nosan. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Brauer and Maul. <br />Motion by Chairperson Levine, seconded by Commissioner Nosan, to approve the policy. <br />Motion Carried.
