Councilmember Backous introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #14 -08 -171 RESOLUTION APPROVING AGENCY AGREEMENT NO. 06607 FOR ADVANCE CONSTRUCTION OF MISSISSIPPI RIVER TRAIL, S.P. 199 - 090 -001 WHEREAS, on March 25th, 2014, the City Council approved proceeding with advance construction for portions of the Mississippi River Trail through the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, on June 24th, 2014, the City Council approved continuing to proceed with advance construction of the portion of the Mississippi River Trail through the Riverdale Drive Extension/Reconstruction project. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1. That pursuant to Minnesota Stat. Sec. 161.36, the Commissioner of Transportation be appointed as Agent of the City of Ramsey to accept as its agent, federal aid funds which may be made available for eligible transportation related projects. 2. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the City to execute and enter into an agreement with the Commissioner of Transportation prescribing the terms and conditions of said federal aid participation as set forth and contained in "Minnesota Department of Transportation Agency Agreement No. 06607 ", a copy of which said agreement was before the City Council and which is made a part hereof by reference. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember Backous Councilmember Johns Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Tossey and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None
