Councilmember Backous introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14 -08 -171 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AGENCY AGREEMENT NO. 06607 FOR <br />ADVANCE CONSTRUCTION OF MISSISSIPPI RIVER TRAIL, <br />S.P. 199 - 090 -001 <br />WHEREAS, on March 25th, 2014, the City Council approved proceeding with advance <br />construction for portions of the Mississippi River Trail through the City of Ramsey; and <br />WHEREAS, on June 24th, 2014, the City Council approved continuing to proceed with <br />advance construction of the portion of the Mississippi River Trail through the Riverdale Drive <br />Extension/Reconstruction project. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1. That pursuant to Minnesota Stat. Sec. 161.36, the Commissioner of Transportation be <br />appointed as Agent of the City of Ramsey to accept as its agent, federal aid funds which <br />may be made available for eligible transportation related projects. <br />2. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed for and on behalf of the <br />City to execute and enter into an agreement with the Commissioner of Transportation <br />prescribing the terms and conditions of said federal aid participation as set forth and <br />contained in "Minnesota Department of Transportation Agency Agreement No. 06607 ", a <br />copy of which said agreement was before the City Council and which is made a part hereof <br />by reference. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
