Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14-09-182 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE A STREETS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br />WHEREAS, as per the adopted strategic plan, staff conducted a recruitment for a <br />fulltime Streets Maintenance Worker; and <br />WHEREAS, an internal and external recruitment process was conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Shane Turner has been selected as the top candidate for the <br />position; and <br />WHEREAS, staff has completed the necessary background checks and is <br />recommending that Mr. Shane Turner be hired as a fulltime Streets Maintenance Worker <br />at $19.72 per hour; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Turner will be subject to the City's Personnel Policy and/or <br />union contracts. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />Motion to adopt resolution #14-09-182 to hire Mr. Shane Turner as a fulltime <br />Streets Maintenance Worker, effective on or near September 24, 2014, at $19.72 <br />per hour which is step 1 of the 2014 wage scale. <br />The motion for the adoption of the 'foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 9th day of September, 2014. <br />
