CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a Budget Work Session on Monday, November 10, 2003, at <br />the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Budget Work Session to order at 8:21 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) 2004 Budget <br /> <br />Finance Officer Lund presented the 2004 proposed rates, fees and charges for Council review, <br />noting that a group of communities along with the League of Minnesota Cities are working <br />together on putting together a list of building permit fees for cities to work off of. She also noted <br />that staff did increase park dedication fees by $100. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak stated that the Council had discussed placing the additional $100 <br />collected for park dedication in a park maintenance fund, but no decision was ever made. The <br />fee is charged to the developer regardless, but then the City would be placing $100 of it in a <br />separate fund for maintenance. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook replied that the City has to be able to show benefit for the park dedication <br />fees they collect. <br /> <br />City Council Budget Work Session/November 10, 2003 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
