Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Assistant Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br />Assistant Director of Public Works Brian Olson <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the special session of the City Council to order at 7:06 p.m. <br /> <br />SPECIAL SESSION TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Case #1: Consider Authorization to Hire a Building Official <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson stated that action needed to be tabled because staff was still <br />in the process of interviewing candidates. Staff anticipated bringing fo~wvard a recommendation <br />at the October 14th meeting. <br /> <br />Case #2: Consider Town Center Request for Alternate Security Arrangements <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman explained that the development agreement between the City and <br />Ramsey Town Center, LLC (RTC) authorized on September 16, 2003, spelled out security <br />arrangements for the Developer. Various divisions of the development agreement require the <br />Developer to deliver a letter of credit to the City to secure the Developer's performance of <br />various obligations. Article 12.4 of the agreement provides that "The City Council may, in its <br />sole and absolute discretion, consider accepting" alternative security arrangements in lieu of <br /> <br />City Council Special Meeting/October 7, 2003 <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
