Presentation <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that the City Council recently approved the site <br />plan and final plat of Basalt Office Park, a redevelopment project along Basalt Avenue, south of <br />Bunker Lake Boulevard (C.R. #116). The plat combined three platted lots into one lot. As a <br />result of that plat, new easements were created and the standard drainage and utility easements <br />around the old lots were no longer needed. A public hearing and ordinance adoption is required <br />to vacate those easements. <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />There was llone. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Strommen, to close the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Elvig, Strommen, Cook, <br />Kurak, Pearson, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing closed at 7:11 p.m. <br /> <br />Council Action <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the City Council was called back to order at 7:11 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to introduce an ordinance <br />to vacate the easement for drainage and utility easements on Lots 2, 3, and 4, Block l, Gateway <br />North Industrial Park Plat 2. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Kurak, Cook, Elvig, Pearson, <br />Strommcn, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request for Vacation of Easement for Access to City Pumphouse #3; Case of <br />Ramsey Town Center, LLC <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik stated that on September 23, 2003, the City Council <br />approved the final plat of Rarnsey Town Center addition. As part of that plat, public road right <br />of way was dedicated over an existing drainage and utility easement to Pumphouse #3 (Well #5). <br />At that same meeting the Council introduced an ordinance to vacate the drainage and utility <br />easement. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Kurak, seconded by Councilmember Pearson, to adopt Ordinance <br />#03-43 to vacate the easement for roadway and utility purposes described in Quit Claim Deed <br />dated July 27, 2001 and filed for record in the office of the Anoka County, Minnesota, Recorder <br />as Document #1597261. <br /> <br />City Council/October 28, 2003 <br /> Page 4 of 18 <br /> <br /> <br />
