CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, September 9, <br />2003, at the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Gerald Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Police Chief James Way <br />Park/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Vice Mayor Zimmerman called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:24 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Village of Sunfish Lake Boulevard <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski explained that grading for the Village of Sunfish Lake was initiated <br />after tree preservation areas were identified and protected consistent with the approved tree <br />preservation plan. At this point grading was proceeding toward completion and the developer <br />was requesting consideration for altering three areas of the tree preservation plan. Those areas <br />were illustrated in three exhibits prepared by Loucks Association and staff presented photos of <br />the trees proposed for removal. <br /> <br />Vice Chair Zimmerman stated that he would like to protect the oak trees, but did not have a <br />problem with removing the pine trees. <br /> <br />City Council Work Session/September 9, 2003 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
