<br />Councilmember Tossey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #14-06-113 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO ALLIED BLACKTOP <br />COMPANY FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 14-00; 2014 STREET MAINTENANCE <br />PROGRAM – DIV A <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted March 25, 2014, <br />accepting plans and specifications and authorizing advertisement for bids for making the 2014 <br />Street Maintenance Program improvements including the crack-sealing, sealcoating and <br />overlaying of streets, the removal and replacement of miscellaneous concrete curb and gutter, and <br />other necessary appurtenant work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the bids of Allied Blacktop Co. in the amount of $249,468.16 for the total <br />bid is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> as of June 24, 2014 $0 has been paid to date; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the Engineering Technician IV has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends partial payment to Allied Blacktop Company in the amont of $61,244.51. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br /> <br />1)That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Allied Blacktop Company for <br />Improvement Project 14-00; 2014 Street Maintenance Program in the amount of <br />$61,244.51. <br /> <br /> <br />2)That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br /> <br />3)That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of June 24, 2014. <br /> <br /> <br />4)That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Riley and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilemember Johns <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br /> <br />
