Councilmember Tossey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #14-06-113 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTIAL PAYMENT TO ALLIED BLACKTOP COMPANY FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 14-00; 2014 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM – DIV A WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion of the Ramsey City Council, adopted March 25, 2014, accepting plans and specifications and authorizing advertisement for bids for making the 2014 Street Maintenance Program improvements including the crack-sealing, sealcoating and overlaying of streets, the removal and replacement of miscellaneous concrete curb and gutter, and other necessary appurtenant work; and WHEREAS, the bids of Allied Blacktop Co. in the amount of $249,468.16 for the total bid is the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, as of June 24, 2014 $0 has been paid to date; and WHEREAS, the Engineering Technician IV has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to Allied Blacktop Company in the amont of $61,244.51. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1)That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Allied Blacktop Company for Improvement Project 14-00; 2014 Street Maintenance Program in the amount of $61,244.51. 2)That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3)That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of June 24, 2014. 4)That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution.
