Public Works <br /> <br /> ..Replacement Sweeper <br /> <br /> included in the 2004 budget is $108,000 for the purchase of a replacement street sweeper. <br />Sealed bids will need to be solicited for the purchase, if a purchasing venture is not available. <br /> <br />Snow Plow Truck <br /> <br /> Included in the 2004 budget is $95,000 for the purchase of a replacement 2 ½ ton <br />snowplow truck with plow, box and wing to replace unit #620. Again, sealed bids would need to <br />be solicited if a cooperative purchasing venture is not available. <br /> <br />Park Maintenance <br /> <br />Snowblower <br /> <br /> $68,900 was included in the 2004 budget to purchase a snowblower chute machine. <br />Sealed bids will need to be obtained for this purchase. <br /> <br /> Mega Mower <br /> <br /> Included in the 2004 budget was $82,100 to purchase a mega mower for major park <br />mowings throughout the City. If a cooperative purchasing venture is not obtainable, sealed bids <br />will be obtained. <br /> <br />Capital Items - Category_ .~2. - The items that fall under this category are as follows: <br /> <br />Data Processing <br /> <br />Included in the 2004 budget is $40,000 for the purchase of 20 pc's to bring the City's computer <br />system up to date. Currently, LOGIS handles the bidding process for the City. <br /> <br />Also included in 2004, is $15,000 to update the phone system for Fire I and the Public Works <br />building. Two written quotes will be required for this purchase. <br /> <br />Police <br /> <br />For 2004, $18,000 was included in the General Fund budget for the purchase of 800 Mghz <br />radios.
