CITY COUNCIL CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, December 9, 2003, at the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. Members Present: Mayor Thomas Gamec Councilmember Todd Cook Councilmember David Elvig Councilmember Patti Kurak Councilmember A1 Pearson Councilmember Sarah Strommen Councilmember Gerald Zimanerman Also Present: City Administrator James E. Norman Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson Finance Officer Diana Lund Human Resources Manager Givonna Reed Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik Director of Public Works Dean Kapler Police Chief James Way City Attorney William Goodrich CALL TO ORDER Mayor Gamec called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:06 p.m. and called upon Councilmember Strommen to lead in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. CITIZEN INPUT Winslow Holasek, 1125 Andover Boulevard, Andover, stated that he had received a call from Ernie Miller stating that Mr. Jankowski from the City had called him about the utility easement and indicating that the City wanted to get started with the project. Mr. Miller was told that the City was going to start condemnation proceedings on Friday if they did not sign the easement agreement. Mr. Holasek stated that he was concerned by that because he was under the impression the Council was going to be discussing the issue of the Mississippi Subdrainage district further at an upcoming work session meeting. Mayor Gamec replied that they will need to have staff provide the Council with an update on the issue as well as Mr. Holasek. Mi'. Holasek inquired if the City was going to be proceeding with the condemnation action on Friday. City Council/December 9, 2003 Page 3 of 23 -25-
