Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #14-09-193 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR METROPOLITAN <br />COUNCIL ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES (MCES) 2014 MUNICIPAL INFLOW <br />& INFILTRATION (I&I) GRANT <br />WHEREAS, through the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services 2014 <br />State Bond Fund, funding is available to off -set costs associated with inflow and <br />infiltration in our sanitary sewer system; and <br />WHEREAS, this funding opportunity will help the community proactively <br />address long-term maintenance of the City's sanitary sewer system and prevent <br />unnecessary costs of treatment and maintenance; and <br />WHEREAS, the deadline for submitting proposals is September 26, 2014. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes Staff to apply for the 2014 State <br />Bond Fund Municipal Inflow & Infiltration (I&I) Grant. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City <br />Council this the 23rd day of September 2014. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />
