CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Ramsey called the City Council Work Session to order at 7:23 p.m. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.02: Review Policies and Procedures related to the City's Code Enforcement and <br />Abatement Processes <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated there has been some concerns voiced about how the City handles <br />nuisances and that process. We are concerned with nuisance properties which become blighted. <br />Sections of the City Code define nuisances and we attempt to address them. He read from a <br />section of the Code and talked about outside storage, junk, noise, safety, etc., noting there are a <br />lot of categories of nuisances and they are handled in a number of ways. He talked about the <br />abatement process and read what the Code says and how the City Administrator gets into the <br />process for inspections, etc., and referred to that section of the Code. He talked about giving <br />notice, asking the property owner to take care of the problem and if it's not taken care of, what <br />the City can do about it.
